The Sulphonamides and fluoroquinones page has been updated to include the association of their use with AAA rupture.
The Pregnancy page has been updated with some additional information about fetal movements.
An ECG demonstrating some ventricular pauses has been added to the Bradycardias page.
An ECG of bichamber paced rhythm has been added to the Pacemakers page to replace a similar image of lower quality.
An ECG of atrial paced rhythm has been added to the Pacemakers page. This replaces an ECG that was labelled as showing mostly atrial pacing then some bi-chamber pacing, however only actually showed bichamber pacing.
We have just completed the upgrading of the quality of nearly all the videos used on the website. The new files are larger than the old ones, so will take longer to load for the first time. The best way of viewing them is usually with the player set to loop the video continuously.
The Ventricular arrhythmias page has been updated with a correction of the explanation of a capture beat. An ECG of CHB with ventricular standstill has been added to the Bradycardias page.
The Ankle injuries page has been updated with additional information about Tillaux-Chaput fractures.
30 new images have been added to the Image of the day gallery.
Four new images have been added to the CXR gallery.
8 new images have been added to the Orthopaedic image gallery.
Seven new ECGs have been added to the ECG gallery.
A variety of videos on the site have had their image quality (and in some cases, duration) improved. More work on this is continuing.
The Rabies page has had a number of additions and some reorganisation.
The Angioedema page has been updated, including more information about the treatment of idiopathic angioedema.
The Crying baby and failure to thrive page has been updated, including some information about the role of probiotics in recurrent crying.
The Other oropharyngeal conditions page has been updated with additional information about post tonsillectomy haemorrhage.
