The Diabetic ketoacidosis page has been updated to indicate that, if treated properly, DKA is no longer a condition associated with significant mortality risk.

20 mmol of IV KCL in 100 mL of NSaline, given over 1hour increases serum K+ by approximately 0.5 mmol/L at completion, 0.25 mmol/L one hour after completion
