Paediatric maintenance IV fluids: 4mL/kg/hr for the first 10kg + 2 mL/kg/hr for the next 10kg + 1mL/kg/hr for every kg > 20kg

Medical wisdom

When using digital imaging systems: reverse the polarity of the image to help see soft tissue lines (e.g. pneumothorax) or subtle interruptions to bony trabeculae (e.g. fractures) better.
