A new page called Superficial thrombophlebitis has been added to the Haematological disorders section.
A new page called Rectal foreign bodies has been added to the Abdominal Disorders section. Hard to believe that this topic has slipped though (figuratively) until now.
A new page called Nasogastric tube insertion has been created from the section previously in the Bowel obstruction page. In addition, an X-ray of an NGT malposition has been added.
The Assessment of vision page has been subdivided and the new pages Pupillary abnormalities and Abnormal eye movements have been created.
A new page on the Eaton Lambert syndrome (or Lambert Eaton syndrome if you are from North America) has been added to the Weakness chapter.
The Coronary Artery Disease page has been revised and a page called Definition of MI has been created. This page now links directly from the Troponins in ACS page.
The previous page Cardiac Biomarkers has been extensively revised and subdivided into the following pages: Troponins in ACS, Non ACS Causes of Elevated Troponin and Other Cardiac Biomarkers. In addition, the various troponin values have all been converted to the current standard of ng/L.
New pages have been created containing the all the quizzes and polls published so far. These can be accessed though the Web features page.
As part of a restructure of the Brain Injury Assessment and Management area, a new page called Assessment of Intracranial Pressure has been added to the Resuscitation section (Link)

A new page called Management of Blunt Abdominal Trauma has been added to the Trauma section. (Link) Whilst the management of individual organ injuries is described in other pages, this page outlines the major issues in dealing with blunt abdominal trauma.
The segment on massive transfusion has been updated and made into it’s own page in the Resuscitation section.
An audiovisual index page has been added to the Table of Contents page (under the heading Finding things). From this page you will be able to access all audiovisual files on the website.
A new page entitled The Approach to Blood Gas Analysis has been added to the Clinical Skills section. This page explains the role and limitations of blood gas analysis.
A new page entitled Health care of Prisoners has been added to the Clinical Skills section.
A new page called Relatives and Resuscitation has been created in the Assessment and Management of Resuscitation part of the Resuscitation section. This is mostly content moved from the Palliative Care page in the Clinical Skills section in recognition that resuscitation is not always futile!
As the manual contains a significant amount of content directly relevant to the care of children that is found outside the Paediatrics section, we have reconfigured the Paediatric section content menus to include links to this other content. This should make finding and reviewing paediatric content throughout the manual much easier.
