The Laryngoscopy poll has now closed – with interesting results. Just a fraction over half (52%) of respondents routinely use a conventional laryngoscope for intubation. Would be interesting to know if this was because of choice or lack of availability of a video scope. Would be interesting to run this poll again in 5 years time to see if the results change.
Here are the final results…..
When intubating in the ED I usually use
- Direct laryngoscopy (eg McIntosh, Miller) (52%, 57 Votes)
- A C-Mac (McGrath or equivalent) (43%, 47 Votes)
- A Glidescope (5%, 5 Votes)
- An Airtrac (0%, 0 Votes)
Total Voters: 109
