Pacemaker updates
A number of updates have been made to the Pacemakers page including the things you should know about in a patient with a pacemaker and additional information about the actions of pacemaker magnets.

MRI ordering restrictions
The Magnetic resonance imaging page has been updated with information regarding the types of MRIs that GPs can now order in Australia.
DIC scoring scale
The DIsseminated intravascular coagulation page has been updated with the International Society for Haemostasis and Thrombosis DIC scoring scale.
Maternal cardiorespiratory changes in labour
A small segment outlining the cardiorespiratory changes that occur during labour has been added to the Labour & delivery page
Asymptomatic cerebral AVMs
The Subarachnoid haemorrhage page has been updated with information regarding the superiority of conservative management of asymptomatic AVMs.
Cardiac contusion
The Chest wall injuries and Mediastinal injuries pages have been revised to emphasise the lack of clinical significance associated with ECG or troponin changes in haemodynamically stable patients and the lack of delayed sequelae associated with the diagnosis of cardiac contusion in this group.
Valsalva retinopathy
A small segment on Valsalva retinopathy has been added to the Sudden visual loss page.
Post partum thrombosis risk
Following a recent study published in the NEJM, the risk of thrombotic events appears to be increased for up to 12 weeks post partum, not for only 6 weeks as previously thought. Various pages including the Thrombophilia page have been updated as a result.

The Digital amputations page has been revised and updated following a BMJ review of the subject published today.
Hand injuries reorganisation
To facilitate navigation, the Hand injuries page has been subdivided to create Hand anatomy, Digital amputations and Tendon infections and pressure gun injuries pages.
Prognostic factors in acute myocarditis
Predictors of cardiac arrhythmias and poor prognosis in paediatric patients with myocarditis have been added to the Acute myocarditis page.
hsTnI levels in atrial fibrillation
The Non ACS causes of elevated troponin page has been updated with information about atrial fibrillation.
Ashman phenomenon causing RBBB or LBBB
A small segment about the Ashman phenomenon has been added to the Disorders of cardiac conduction page.
Seborrhoeic keratoses
An image of multiple early seborrhoeic keratoses has been added to the Melanoma page.
Sarcoidosis
Some information about Löfgren’s syndrome and the diagnostic usefulness of ACE levels in suspected sarcoidosis has been added to the Sarcoidosis page.
Erythema nodosum causes
Some additional causes of erythema nodosum have been added to the Cellulitis mimics page.
