The link to the Legacy edition of the manual (the first online version that has not been corrected or updated since 2014) has been removed. The content of the legacy edition is now more than 6 years old and is no longer suitable as a guide to contemporary practice.
The table of contents in version 1 is currently not working properly. What we have tried so far to fix it has not worked, so we will be temporarily removing this version and will reinstall it from scratch this morning.Please use Version 3 whilst we sort this out. 4 ECGs have been added to the ECG Gallery
It has just come to our attention that problems with the online store have prevented payments for subscriptions being processed in the last 24 hours. The problems have been fixed and subscriptions can now be purchased as normal.The issue was caused by a software upgrade.Apologies to anyone who tried to subscribe/renew during that time.
The pages relating to skin and soft tissue infection have been reorganised. They are all in the Infectious diseases section instead of being split between different sections and has created a new page called Other skin and soft tissue infections.
3 more ECGs have been added to the ECG image gallery.
The issues affecting Version 1 have now been resolved. Apologies for any inconvenience caused by the brief down time.
We are currently experiencing some issues with Version 1 and expect it not to be available for the next hour or so whilst we reload the files. In the meantime, Version 3 is still available. Apologies for any inconvenience.
We have done a few things behind the scenes to improve the performance of the website. These will be most noticeable in image rich pages such as the image galleries. Please let us know if you experience any unexpected problems with the website, in case something was not detected by our testing.
A significant number of broken hypertext links have been repaired (especially relating to Infectious diseases). Unfortunately we need to fix quite a few that remain.
21 new images have been added to the Orthopaedics gallery taking the total number of images in the gallery to 132.
8 new CXRs have been added to the CXR gallery, taking the total number up to 134.
18 new ECGs have been added to the ECG gallery and a few duplicates removed. The total number of ECGs in the gallery is now 121.
We have just added our 400th additional image to the manual. We think there are now close to 1000 images in total, but we really haven’t got time to count them all.
The Journal scan pages are unable to provide content from any Journals published by Wiley (this includes Emergency Medicine Australasia). Contents of these journals will not be able to be viewed until Wiley correct the problems with their RSS feeds. Feeds from all other publishers are working as normal.
The size of a large number of images throughout the book (but especially in the Respiratory section) have been reduced, whilst retaining image quality.

The Tracheobronchial foreign bodies in children page has been moved to the Respiratory disease in children section.
The 6th print edition was released in February 2015, based on content that is now 4 years old. In the meantime there have been more than 1500 significant revisions made to the online version, but the print edition has not changed.
