Indications for transfer to a neurosurgical service following trauma have been added to the Management of head trauma page.

The Faciomaxillary trauma page has been updated with a new segment on referral for admission and outpatient management.

The Extradural and subdural haematoma page has been updated with additional information about very low risk features of SDH for deterioration.

The segment on venous gas embolism on the Pulmonary injuries page has had a significant update.

The segment on myocardial contusion on the Mediastinal injuries page has had a few minor updates including to further de-emphasise the usefulness of pursuing this diagnosis in the haemodynamically stable patient.

The segment on tension pneumothorax on the Pulmonary injuries page has had some minor updates, including the differentiation between clinical and radiological tension.

The Mediastinal injuries page has been updated with additional information about traumatic aortic injury, in particular pointing out that it does not have many of the features of a spontaneous aortic dissection.
