New images of Penile anatomy, Regions of the pharynx, Small bowel appearance, Pulmonary artery catheterisation, Orbital muscles and Flexion/Extension injuries of the  cervical spine have been added to the relevant pages.

O&G images added

New images of Labour, Placenta praevia, External female genital anatomy, Uterine anatomy and Positions of the uterus have been added to the relevant pages in the Obstetrics and Gynaecology section.

Yet another four images added

Five new resuscitation images

Five new resuscitation images have been added to the relevant pages. They are: Infant CPR technique. Infant ventilation technique, Oropharyngeal airway insertion technique and Endotracheal intubation operator’s view.

Paediatric airway obstruction

Some updates have been made in the Bag Mask Ventilation page (that also covers clearing the airway) in the Resuscitation section to better reflect current recommendations.

Shortness of breath

A new page summarising the main causes of shortness of breath has been added to the Respiratory Diseases chapter in the Respiratory Disorders section.

Online renewal option for Australian customers added

An option for Australian customers to renew their online subscription has been added to our online store order page. Unfortunately in doing this, an error in the code disabled the order page for Australian customers for a few days. The problem has been resolved and all online ordering is functioning properly again.

Loculated pleural effusions

An US image demonstrating a loculated pleural effusion with pleural adhesions at the proposed drainage site has been added to the Pleural effusion page in the Respiratory disorders section.

Deep venous system appearance on US

A new image illustrating the appearance of the major deep veins in the leg when examined by US has been added to the Deep venous thrombosis page in the Haematological disorders section. As you can see it has been a thrombo-embolic kind of day today.

Ultrasound technique for AAA

A new section describing the the US technique used to detect AAA has been added to the Abdominal aortic aneurysm page in the Abdominal emergencies section.
